Foster

Foster Options

Hey there, future foster parent, we’re super excited to have you on board! Just a heads up, we ask for a period of at least 6-8 weeks since our furry friends need time to get comfy in their new digs and with you. While you're fostering, snap and send us photos and videos! A cute bio filled with fun facts or silly stories about your foster can help shine among the hundreds of cats on our site. Kittens come to you in pairs because they thrive best with pals or siblings. Our cats are only indoors—think of it as their cozy little kingdom!

Kittens

Kitten season runs from March to October in Southern California. We rescue tons of adorable underage kittens! If you're up for the challenge, bottle baby fosters are a must—these little ones need round-the-clock feeding. It’s hard, but oh-so-rewarding. If you’d prefer a more independent bunch, weaned kittens are perfect for you!

Teens

If tiny kittens sound like too much, we’ve got some cool teen cats looking for love! They’ve got all their vet sorted, so they’re less demanding but still super playful.

Adults

Looking for a chill buddy? Our adult cats are often overlooked, but can make the best companions. They’ve got their personalities down, are more relaxed, and already know how to use the litter box!

Seniors

Senior cats are the sweetest and deserve some love in their golden years. They might need some special care, which we’ll help with, but they mostly want a comfy bed and a sunny window to snooze by.

Specialized Foster Opportunities

Socializing

Got a soft spot for shy kitties? We need fosters who can help socialize scared cats. A confident furry friend can really help them learn that humans aren’t so scary!

Medical Fostering

If you’re interested in gaining some medical experience, we have cats needing extra care. From kittens with broken bones to those needing medication, you’ll learn lots while giving these kitties the TLC they deserve.

Helping Your Cat Get Adopted

When someone wants to adopt your foster, we’ll set up an in-person or virtual meet-and-greet. It’s a great way for the potential adopters to see your foster in their comfy space and for you to answer any questions they might have! And hey, if you fall in love and decide to adopt, that’s totally cool! Just remember, every adoption means you can help another kitty in need.

Ready to Foster?

1. First, fill out our Foster Form. Once we get it, one of our team members will reach out to chat about our available kitties. Just a heads up: we mainly need fosters for bottle-feeding kittens or caring for adult cats needing a little extra love.

2. Once approved, we’ll have you complete our Foster Agreement.
